Wellbeing Check-Ins
According to The Social Report 2016 by the Ministry of Social Development, 10% of New Zealanders aged 65-74 and 13% aged over 75 reported feeling lonely. Other research has found that loneliness is an increasing problem in residential aged care facilities that can be due to a “loss of identity, independence and autonomy.”
Our goal with our Wellbeing Check-Ins is to be an emotional pillar to help combat social isolation and feeling of loneliness amongst seniors. We run a regular call service for seniors, giving them the opportunity to be more socially interactive and have someone to talk to about anything that’s on their mind.
